Everyone needs a go-to green smoothie recipe. My inspiration and friend Ben Warren, a clinical nutritionist from BePure, recommends that you have leafy greens with every meal, every day. I try my darndest, but I don’t often get there, so this super-quick, supernutritious smoothie does the trick when I feel like I need an injection of greens.

Serves 1 

handful of kale or spinach
2 whole kiwifruit, skin on and washed with water to remove any possible pesticides
juice of ½ lemon
1 free-range egg
pinch of cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
200 ml coconut milk

 

Put all your ingredients into a blender, then blend everything together well.

Pour into a glass and enjoy!
